Keeping up on it

I am still keeping up with the dieting and exercise. I am a little aggravated, because I have been doing really good this week and not losing any weight. I know it isn't muscle, because I've been doing this for awhile and mostly doing cardio. I need to find my sons hand weights they are heavier than mine. Mine are only like 2 lbs I think.

This Memorial Day weekend will be tough. We will be on a boat most of the weekend and lots of junk food and beer. Last week I brought along these pita pockets and we put lunch meat in them. That was pretty healthy. I am trying to think of healthy things I can eat when on the boat. I brought along nuts and that was better than chips.

Having a Great Day!

Today, is going good. The only disappointing thing is I worked out a lot yesterday and didn't lose any weight. I thought for sure it would get rid of a pound. I ate right yesterday too. Hopefully, I will see the difference tomorrow.

I bought a swim suit yesterday and really like it. No bikini yet! :( Although, it is two pieces. I learned if you buy a more expensive swimming suit it looks better on you and hides alot. It has better support and the material is better. I usually hate looking for swim suits, because it seems like I always need a size bigger they run small.

I went on a fitness walk today during my lunch. I might try taking that way sometimes, just something different. I am lucky my workplace has neighborhoods behind us so I can go walking.

Taking it day by day.....

I am taking it day by day. I lost 2 lbs, since last week. I am doing real good on my exercising. Today I walked at lunch again and I plan to workout on my elliptical tonight. There never seems like enough time in the evenings to get everything done. By the time you cook supper and do some laundry it's time for bed. I am making time for my exercise.

The weekends are tough. We go boating and by the time I do my chores and get stuff ready for it, there isn't much time to exercise. So I make sure during the week I do good. The weekends I only do the elliptical 1/2 hour and do my 100 situps. It is better than nothing.

Having a good week so far!

So far I am having a good week. I have lost 2-1/2 lbs total so that is good. Last night I had to pick strawberries at my parents house and I got home a little later than I wanted. By the time I started exercising it was after 8, but I did the elliptical for an hour.

Today, it is raining outside so I couldn't go on my walk at lunch. :-(
Hopefully, I can do a longer workout tonight. Our fitness challenge at work counts 30 minutes as 1 workout. I am trying to get 3 workouts a day in through the week. The weekends are hard, because I'm not home much. This weekend we will probably be boating all weekend. I figure if I can get 1-1/2 hours of workouts a day in, then that will help. The last fitness workout two years ago I was 20 lbs heavier, after I lost the weight. So that was at least one pants size skinnier I'm down. I would be happy if I could get down another pant size. Another 15-20 lbs less would be great. I just have to keep it off. I am in the workout mode and it is a part of my day and I hope it stays that way.

Didn't do as well over the weekend

I didn't do as well over the weekend. I went over to my friends house to help her make Kevin the bird from the movie UP. Her husband BBQ'd and he is a really good cook. So I ate a little more than I usually do. But I am back to working out and on track this week. I just started my fitness program at work so hopefully that will keep me going. I am up to 60 minutes on the elliptical yesterday and I walked 35 minutes at lunch. I need to change the settings on my elliptical, since I got my times up now so next I will work on upping the settings on my elliptical.

Keeping up with the diet and exercise

I am still keeping up with my diet and exercise. I hope I can get the weight off fast and not have any weeks that I stall. I just have to keep up with the elliptical. When I started doing that it seemed like I was losing faster.

I finally weighed myself

I finally weighed myself this morning and I was up 6 lbs. Good thing I didn't weight myself two weeks ago, when I started the diet. If I would of saw high numbers of weight gain it would have depressed me. I guess that isn't that bad compared to a year ago. A year ago I was 20 lbs heavier. I was just thinking if I can lose at least 15 lbs I would be able to get back into my bikini. That is going to be my motivator. I haven't worn a bikini for 4 years. So it would nice to get back into one.

Last night, I had extra energy and time so I worked out on the elliptical for 50 minutes and then I did some hand weights. Also, every morning I do 100 sit ups (the girl kind).

I thought my fitness program at work was starting today, but that is next week. I can't wait for that too. So I have a bunch of things to motivate me.

It's getting easier!

It is getting easier to stay on track with my exercising and eating healthy. Once, I make it past the first two weeks it always gets easier. I think your body adjusts to the change. At first I am always to tired to exercise and it is hard to stay on track eating healthy. I think I am passed that now.

I am getting excited that soon we will be starting the fitness challenge at my work. My weight loss won't be as great, because I already started dieting a few weeks ago. I don't care if I win or lose as long as I lose weight. This might give me a bigger boost to work out longer yet. We are using this website called Livestrong.com for tracking purposes. I didn't have much time to check it out yet, but it seems pretty cool. It has all the different diets and you can track you calories. They always say to journal what you eat every day so this will help.

Mother's Day put me behind a little

I did really good all week, except for Sunday (Mother's Day). We had a family BBQ so I ate more than usual. It was all pretty healthy stuff. The worst was probably the angel food cake with home grown strawberries and cool whip. At least I didn't have any really high calorie desserts. I brought a salad with lettuce, strawberries,craraisens and walnuts. Eating out and family gathers are my weakness.

This week I will be doing 40 minutes of elliptical and hand weights every other day. So I am adding in the hand weights exercises. All I have is the little weights you use in aerobics class, but it will still help tone my upper body and get rid of any flabby arms.

This Wednesday we start our fitness challenge at work. So I will have to weigh in. I think I am doing better, but still not where I was.

I got my lunchtime walk in before the rain!

I barely got my walk in today at lunch. It was cloudy and I was afraid I was going to come back to work wet. That's one way to speed up your walking!

I went to the jewelry party last night and bought two necklaces. I am wearing one today. I actually learned some things about jewelry. If you wear bigger earrings it gets people to look at your face. Also, the lady had a gray dress on and she took off all her jewelry and it made the dress look plain. I never realized how much it can help accent an outfit.

I did good on my eating last night at the party. There was some good chocolate round creme filled balls and m&m's that looked good. I love chocolate, can't you tell? I passed up the chips and dip, too.

It seems like my pants are getting looser, just a little. My goal is to get rid of those love handles. Next week I plan on weighing myself. It's pretty bad you have to lose weight first, before stepping on the scale. I was afraid I would be too depressed and mad at myself if I would have weighed myself, when I started.

Keeping up with the healthy living

I am still keeping up with the healthy living and losing weight. I have upped my elliptical workouts to 40 minutes in the evening. I still walk 35 minutes at lunch too. This better do it! I expect weight loss. Tonight, I have to go to a jewelry party so I won't be able to exercise, but I did walk this afternoon.

Last night I went to JC Penny and had a $10 coupon to use, so I bought a swimsuit cover up. It is really cute. It is silk and it looks like a sundress. If I keep losing it will look really good on me. Memorial weekend is only a few weeks away so I have to get in shape to put on a swim suit. Actually, my husband is wanting to take the boat out this weekend to make sure everything runs good. I dread putting on a suit but that is what I need. It will motivate me more yet and keep me from blowing it.

Still doing good!

I am still doing good with exercising and eating healthy. I make sure I make vegetables for each meal and I try to eat lots of them. I bought some of those steam baggies for steaming vegetables and really like them. I don't have to add any butter now, since the steam keeps them from drying out.

Last night I worked out on the elliptical for 40 minutes. This week I will try to do at least 40 minutes on it and then raise it in the next week or two. I have to slowly work my way up to it. I walked again today for lunch. The weather is beautiful in the mid 70's.
